Best known as the lead singer of L.A.-based, proto-garage rock band the Seeds, Sky Saxon was responsible for such influential, Stones-esque tracks as Pushin` Too Hard and Can`t Seem to Make You Mine. Eventually jumping on the hippie bandwagon, joining a cult, and becoming a guru named Sunlight, Saxon released uncountable small pressings that reflected his drug use at the time. Continuing to straddle the line between peace and love and a more aggressive punk-rock attitude, the anomaly that is Sky Saxon is backed by members of Barracudas, Scientists, and Spaceman in this 15-song live set.
